Face Masks are Optional but Recommended

Our Health & Safety Commitment

At Motion Arts Center, the health and well-being of our students, staff, and community are our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming space for everyone to dance and move. Our policies are based on current guidance from the CDC and local health authorities.

We thank you for your support in helping us maintain a healthy studio environment for all.

Key Health & Safety Policies

1. Pre-Registration & Class Sign-In Required

To ensure the safety of our community and manage class sizes, pre-registration is now required for all classes. This helps us maintain a record of attendance for safety and communication purposes.

  • How to Register: Please reserve your spot in advance through our REGISTER/SIGN UP button at the top of this page or through our app. Drop-ins will only be accommodated if space is available.

  • Check-In: Upon arrival, please check in at the front desk to confirm your attendance. This is a crucial step for our safety records.

2. Health & Wellness: Stay Home When Sick

We operate on a foundation of community trust and ask that you help protect your fellow dancers.

  • Please do not come to the studio if you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms of any communicable illness, including:

    • Fever or chills

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath

    • Sore throat

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Fatigue, muscle or body aches

3. Positive COVID-19 Case Protocol

If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow current CDC guidelines to protect our community:

  • Isolate: Stay home for at least 5 days from the date your symptoms started or the date of your positive test (whichever came first).

  • Return to Studio: You may return to the studio after your 5-day isolation period if you have been fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and your other symptoms are improving.

  • Masking After Isolation: Per CDC recommendations, please wear a well-fitting mask for an additional 5 days (days 6-10) after returning to the studio to minimize risk to others.

4. Creating a Safe Studio Environment

We continue to implement measures to ensure our facility is clean and safe for everyone.

  • Face Coverings: Face coverings are optional for all students, staff, and visitors. We support and respect individual choices regarding masking.

  • Advanced Air Filtration: Our studios are equipped with HEPA air purifiers to continuously filter the air and improve ventilation.

  • Enhanced Cleaning: We perform regular and thorough cleaning of all high-touch surfaces, floors, and studio equipment.

  • Hand Hygiene: Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the studio. We encourage frequent hand washing and sanitizing.

5. Updated Waiver Required

All new and returning students must have a new waiver and release form signed before participating in any class.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep the Motion Arts Center community vibrant, healthy, and safe
