Come join us at the Motion Arts Center dance and fitness studio for some Pilates fun!

Pilates is a form of exercise and body conditioning developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Today it is a very popular form of fitness training, so whether you’re a dancer, athlete, office worker, or busy parent, our Pilates mat classes are a fantastic way to improve your strength, flexibility, and balance – all essential skills for everyone! They can also help you achieve your fitness goals and improve your overall well-being.

Our expert instructor will guide you through each exercise with clear instructions and modifications, so you can feel confident and comfortable throughout the class. Her classes are welcoming, friendly, and full of positive energy.

What To Bring:

  • Please bring a mat and water bottle
  • Comfortable workout clothes
  • Props (like foam rollers, yoga blocks, pilates ball) are optional and you don’t need them in order to join a class

 

What to say:

Your teacher will ask you about any old injuries, sensitive spots, or conditions that might need modifications. Be honest! If a movement is painful, it’s fine not to do it, or to do a modified version while your body becomes used to Pilates.

Class Description

By joining this class you will exercise your body applying the pilates principles. Connect with your  breath to stabilize core muscles and build body awareness through precision of movement. Increase range of motion and discover mobility exercises to gain flexibility. This class compliments any dance class by improving balance, posture and body alignment. In addition to pilates, we will revitalize the body using the myofascial release technique with foam rollers and massage balls. 

Booking Information

  • Pre-registration is required for all in person classes. Please click on Sign In/Register at the top right hand corner of this website. Register by creating an account so you can book and pay for classes online. If you already have an account at MAC, just log in using your email and password. We do this to avoid congestions and facilitate the check-in process at the studio lobby. After you register and book a class, you will receive an email confirmation.

 

 

  • For Class Rates and Packages please click hereAs a way to reward your commitment, the more classes you take the better price you receive.

 

  • If you cancel a booked reservation, it must be done so with a minimum of 24 hours before the class start time. If late-cancel or no show within the 24 hour window, the class reservation will still apply and be deducted from your account. Purchases are not refundable and are not transferrable to other programs or individuals.
 
  • Classes will start on time and doors will open 15 minutes before each class starts.
