Take a deep breath and reset. Breathwork Basics is a calming and restorative class designed to help you reconnect with your body, quiet your mind, and feel more grounded from the inside out.
Led by Emery, this class explores the power of intentional breathing through guided breathwork techniques, gentle movement, and mindful awareness. You’ll learn simple tools to help reduce stress, increase energy, improve focus, and support your overall physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Whether you’re new to breathwork or looking for a peaceful way to balance your week, this class offers a welcoming space to slow down, breathe deeply, and leave feeling refreshed, centered, and restored.

ABOUT EMERY: Originally from Santa Cruz, California, Emery is the Yoga for Dancers and Vinyasa Flow Yoga instructor at Motion Arts Center. Emery draws from her experience as a professional classical and contemporary ballet dancer. Her teaching process is rooted in building strength, stability, and flexibility. Within the movement there is a strong focus on the union between functional breathing patterns and anatomical alignment. She aims to create safe community spaces where curiosity informs technique. In class, there will be the opportunity to cultivate a deep connection between physical expression and inner awareness. Whether training for a marathon or rehabilitating an injury all walks of life are welcome. In her spare time you can find her salsa dancing or enjoying nature outside with family.
Booking Information
Online Registration isRequired for all in person classes. Please click on Sign In/Register at the top right hand corner of this website. By creating an account you can book and pay online for classes before arriving to the studio. This will save you time and help avoid congestions at the front desk. After you register and book a class, you will receive an email confirmation. If you already have an account at MAC, just log in using your email and password to book any class.

If you cancel a booked reservation, it must be done so with a minimum of 24 hours before the class start time. If late-cancel or no show within the 24 hour window, the class reservation will still apply and be deducted from your account. Purchases are not refundable and are not transferrable to other programs or individuals.
Classes will start on time and doors will open 15 minutes before each class starts.
